The first truth is that nothing is lost in the universe. Matter turns into energy, energy turns into matter. A dead leaf turns into soil. A seed sprouts and becomes a new plant. Old solar systems disintegrate and turn into cosmic rays. We are born of our parents, our children are born of us.

We are the same as plants, as trees, as other people, as the rain that falls. We consist of that which is around us, we are the same as everything. If we destroy something around us, we destroy ourselves. If we cheat another, we cheat ourselves. Understanding this truth, the Buddha and his disciples never killed any animal.

The second universal truth of the Buddha is that everything is continuously changing. Life is like a river flowing on and on, ever-changing. Sometimes it flows slowly and sometimes swiftly. It is smooth and gentle in some places, but later on snags and rocks crop up out of nowhere. As soon as we think we are safe, something unexpected happens.

"Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai"

Yeh Mehlon,Yeh Takhton,Yeh Taajon Ki Duniya,
Yeh Insaan Key Dushman Samaajon Ki Duniya,
Yeh Doulat Key Bhookhey Riwajon Ki Duniya,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Har Ek Jism Ghayal, Har Ek Rooh Pyaasi,
Nigahon Mein Uljhan, Dilon Mein Udaasi,
Yeh Duniya Hai Ya Aalam-e-Badhawasi,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Yahaan Eik Khilona Hai Insaan Ki Hasti,
Yeh Basti Hai Murda Paraston Ki Basti,
Yahaan To Jeevan Sey Hai Maut Sasti,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Jawaani Bhatakti Hai Badkaar Ban Kar,
Jawaan Jism Sajtey Hein Bazaar Ban Kar,
Yahaan Pyaar Hota Hai Byopaar Ban Kar,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Yeh Duniya Jahaan Aadmi Kuch Nahi Hai,
Wafa Kuch Nahi, Dosti Kuch Nahi Hai,
Yahaan Pyaar Ki Qadr Hi Kuch Nahi Hai,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Jala Do Isey, Phoonk Dalo Yeh Duniya.
Mere Saamne Se Hata Lo Yeh Duniya,
Tumhari Hai Tum Hi Sambhalo Yeh Duniya,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai

Tell me, timeless river,
Flowing past my door,
What was the most beautiful
Sight you ever saw?

With a smile the river
Wistfully replied:
«The black and clumsy boulder
Where I leapt, a child!»

-------------------------------------------------------

A rider’s heart is like a fire!
So, young girl, take care!
Fire you can damp and douse
Or arouse, beware!

A rider’s heart is like a knife!
So, young girl, beware!
You can blunt a blade or make it
Razor sharp, beware!

There are fewer days when you feel pretty happy and, feel like you achieved something which was there not in your fate. Since my childhood I have felt that I don’t have wishes (note: there is a difference between a wish and an ambition) .My wishes were always somewhere on the footprints of my elders. Yes even my talents grew like that only. But some days back I bought one camera. After a lot of persuasion from Shwetha . Now I feel this is one of the best things I have done in my life. I feel like capturing things in pictures. Sudden urge to have as many photographs as possible. I have started enjoying so many things. Visiting places. Exploring new colours. It is strange that when I see a beautiful snap I feel like going there. Even if I have not seen that place I imagine that how the pictures of that place will look like. I want to capture more. I want to see them again and again. And no doubt it is one of the most beautiful feelings.
Some days back I posted some of my pictures on one of my company’s intranet and I was really happy when they were displayed in public gallery.

kehne ko humesha char baatein rahi,
kuch keh na sake kuch reh hi gayin,
kabhi karte rahe waqt ka intezaar,
aur kabhi waqt humko mila hi nahi,

sochte sochte , lafzon ko dhoondhte
baatine mann mein saja kar banate rahe,
kabhi likh kar kahin, kabhi ruk kar kahin,
kabhi geeton mein hi gungunate rahe,

kuch tohfe liye bahut soch kar,
ki shayad wahi keh sake dil ki baat
par wo de na sake , maiuke mil na sake
reh gayi meri baatein un tohfon ke saath,

aisi kya baat hai, aisi ky hai kami
ki duniya se sab rang khatam ho gaye,
aapki har ek ada, aapka bholapan
humpe kyun is tarah se sitam ho gaye,

  • If you want to be respected by others the great thing is to respect yourself. Only by that, only by self-respect will you compel others to respect you.
Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it.
Man is tormented by no greater anxiety than to find someone quickly to whom he can hand over that great gift of freedom with which the ill-fated creature is born.

BUDDHA WE ALL CAN BE

A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.
